Axel & Lolo are back with a New Single “Summer” and fun release party to go along with it!
It’s summertime and what better way to ring it in than a NEW SINGLE from Axel & Lolo with an accompanying Free Summer Release Party Saturday, July 11th!
July 7th 2026
Axel and Lolo are hosting a limited capacity, RSVP only, release party in Los Angeles on Saturday where there will be crafting, refreshing Shirley temples, and maybe even a little bit of singing too.
This party is in celebration of their newest single, “Summer” which Lolo and Axel wrote on their Instagram page announcing the release saying the song is, “happy and sad and hopeful”, and that couldn’t be more true.
Starting with a guitar and some layered vocals, this song is a perfect at-ease song. If this song had a smell, it would be sunscreen on a beautiful summer day, hence the name! The song “Summer” is not only a ballad for summertime, but a love song for yourself. All about recognizing the need for growth and becoming more familiar with yourself in the newfound free time that one gets during the summer months.
As the song progresses, a lyric that really stands out to me is “I’ve had so much to do / and now there’s nothing left / but the growing chance i’ll critique myself” and this is a lyric that I have felt so deeply in my life, because I am always my number one critic- which this song also touches on being kinder to oneself.
With more lines full of existential questions, philosophical questions, the song emphasizes the season of rest and relaxation- which is necessary for a life of balance. “It is time for the summer / to patch me up again”.
When diving into these lyrics it really made me think about how we give so much grace to others “but im learning that a misstep is a misstep / and I see my mother is still learning to grow” but often, we never have this much grace for ourselves, reflecting on just how much pressure we put on ourselves- in which being kind and gracious is necessary for self stamina, strength, and healing. It’s wonderful to just let go and be free sometimes.
An honest, and beautiful song anyone can add to their sunbathing or nighttime summer drive playlists.
If you have ever felt the way this song describes and this party seems like something that you could be interested in, check out Axel and Lolo’s page on instagram @axelandlolo for the RSVP link in their bio!
