Writer, producer, performer and artist Sudan Archives took the stage in Denver, Colorado and she did not disappoint.
From the moment she set foot on that stage, the entire crowd was entranced, from her choreography to her sound design, the show was something you could not take your eyes off. The first instrument played was what everyone had been anticipating, the violin! Sudan danced around the stage while playing sweet sounding tunes and had the audience dancing. Later in the show, she played the keys, the drums, and played around with different musical techniques, showing off all the work she has put into learning her craft.
The house was packed, so as I was walking from the front of house to the back of house, there were people moving and grooving at every stop. If people were trying to get from one spot to the next, they were dancing while doing so because the music was so captivating.
Playing hits from her newest album “The BPM” and opening the show up with “DEAD” , it set the mood for the rest of the night. Throughout the show, Sudan was interacting with the crowd and brought a few lucky fans to get on stage and show off some of their moves, and everyone was hyping each other up. It was a beautiful night full of music, dancing, and making friends. Everyone was chatting with each other before and after the show and the vibes in the venue were so warm and welcoming, in contrast to the cold wind that people waited in prior to doors opening.
Her most popular song “Selfish Soul” was definitely a hit and everyone caught an extra burst of energy, everyone was singing and dancing as hard as they could, as they thought it was her last song. Spoiled as we are, Sudan came out for an encore where she treated the audience to three additional songs, leaving the crowd in awe and inspired.
