Welcome to The Boutique ★
The magnificent Zinadelphia made her way to Denver on her Boutique Tour ! Hailing from Philadelphia (hence her name), Zina spent the night blessing our ears with beautiful Jazz and Funk infused tracks, and even pulling out the guitar to get a little folk with it. On tour with Camille Blackman, these two artists have really put their all into their work and it shows through their presence on the stage.
In correlation with her debut album “The Boutique” , the theme of the night held to its name. Prior to the show starting, booklets showcasing “The Boutique” were being handed out, with one lucky book containing a postcard that would signify a lucky audience member “Nancy”, which I will touch on later. These booklets became the guide that shaped the entire experience, with fun activities, ways to order merch, and inspiring words from Zina herself.

First steps into the Bluebird theater, I was greeted with the merch stand where there were the cutest items to purchase. Some items included buttons that adorn hats, as seen in the video for “The Seamstress” along with custom shirts, postcards, and even “Cadet Caps”. Zina’s world really took shape in the city of Denver and her music had the crowd moving from start to finish.
Camille Blackman started out the night hot with an intimate performance including her latest song which had just come out two days prior to the show titled “the view”. Camille and Jackson, whose name Camille kept yelling throughout the night in an encouraging manner, both took us on a journey with vocals and guitar. The raw emotion that was presented on that stage turned palpable as each song went on, Camille really pouring her heart into singing her songs. Camille was very aware of her surroundings as she spotted her roommate and roommate’s family in the crowd and gave them an extra special shoutout. Showing her gratitude with thank you’s to Zina and the crew throughout the night, it was clear this girl was living her dream, performing on stage! Camille Blackman has a strong and bright career ahead of her, so get to know her now so you can say you were there from the start!

The fog machine started, the lights dimmed, and an intro track began, it was time for Zina to hit the stage! Stepping into the boutique, with a dress she had thrifted just that day, Zina immediately had the crowd wrapped around her finger. Striking and enticing, Zina wasted no time showcasing her vocals with “The Ugly Truth” which is the most perfect track to start the night.
As mentioned in her Rock Hall Rising video, her inspirations come from “The Girls” which include “Barbara Streisand”,”Gloria Gaynor”, and “The Supremes” just to name a few. It is clear in her talent that she uses her reference point to grow and create new things, with songs like “Postcards” where Zina’s groove and vocals were especially highlighted together. A live band on stage, including Zina on Guitar, Peter Enriquez on Keys, Kobi Abcede on Drums, and Greg Carleton on Saxophone, this night was so immersive and each member played into the world of The Boutique.
Towards the end of the night, it was time to Call Up Nancy, which so happens to be a song on her latest project. Over the years, artists have found ways to make each night special while on tour, usually with a fan interaction. In this case, if there was a special card in the booklet handed out to each attendee at the beginning of the show, it was your turn to be Nancy. It was such a heartwarming moment to watch a real fan on stage dance their heart out with Zina. Zina even mentioned that the card that night had fallen into the hands of a concert go-er that handed it off to this fan so they could share a special moment.
As the show wrapped up, Zina took a moment to inspire the crowd with a quote she has been saying for quite some time, an affirmation that has assisted in the creation of her work for as long as she can remember. “What you seek is seeking you”. Telling the story of how this quote came to be and connecting with each fan in the crowd through it was genuinely so inspiring. So much so in fact, it was to the point that the inspiration was palpable in the air. The booklet ties into her live message as well, briefing on what she mentioned on stage and diving deeper into the world of The Boutique. If you want to catch a show with soulful music, buttery vocals, good vibes, and inspiration, make sure you catch Zinadelphia at a venue near you. You will not regret it.
