THE RUNAROUNDS

THE RUNAROUNDS ★

The Runarounds brought unstoppable energy to Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Feb. 1, turning what we thought would be a good night into something unforgettable.

The sold-out crowd felt deeply connected to the band from the very beginning, especially during soundcheck and the VIP experience, where their stage presence felt effortless — confident without ever feeling overwhelming. It was easy to see why fans keep showing up night after night, ready to scream every lyric back at them.

Having VIP access made the experience even more personal. During soundcheck and the meet-and-greet, the band took genuine time to connect with fans, asking about their lives and creative goals rather than rushing through conversations — and there were a lot of people there. One of the most memorable moments happened before the show even began when they surprised a fan outside the venue with a signed guitar after seeing him play with friends. It may have seemed like a small gesture, but it reflected how intentional their connection with fans truly is. They even brought him on stage during soundcheck to play with them.

When the lights finally dropped, The Back Alley dominated their second night opening for The Runarounds, delivering a performance so strong it was hard to believe how new they were to the stage. The energy only grew louder once The Runarounds came on, with “Kill My Youth” standing out as a highlight. The raw intensity made the song feel brand new, like falling in love with their music all over again. The Runarounds don’t just perform — they live inside every lyric and beat, singing alongside the audience and reminding everyone in the room that behind the larger-than-life personas are artists who feel deeply human and are simply chasing the same dreams they inspire in their fans.
