Have you ever been invited to the house warming party of the year? Take off your shoes, leave the bad energy at the door, and take a step into Jordan Ward’s show on The Apartment Tour.
Dende started off the night by serving up some smooth vocals and getting the crowd in the right mindset for the night. From the first note he sang, the audience was cheering immediately. He was hitting perfect runs all while handling his technical logistics himself. Dende’s lyricism had everyone engaged as they were really listening and understanding what he was singing about, which oftentimes was his ex which people in the audience cheered for, signaling they resonated closely with Dende. During Dende’s set, he experienced some mic issues, but he did not let this inhibit him from giving the best performance he could. He began singing louder, and the audience quieted down, so he could still be heard without a microphone, which was truly remarkable. Dende’s vocals seriously are no joke and can be considered a weapon of mass destruction if he decides to use his talents for evil. No, but really, this feat was so inspiring to witness in person as he persevered through obstacles live on stage.
As his performance continued on, Dende chose a special fan from the audience to bring up on stage where he serenaded her and presented her with a bouquet of fresh flowers, to show his appreciation for her and to highlight his song “Flowers”. He ended his set by getting really intimate with the crowd, separating the sea of people, and jumping into the crowd to enjoy one last moment before the night continued on, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in the venue as the mutters of “He was so good!” and “I have to check him out!” rose from the crowd of music lovers.

The stage lights went off and on went the house lamps on stage, we were transported to the apartment of Jordan Ward, the world in which the show was to take place. Performing hits from his latest album BACKWARD, he started the night off strong with Track One, “STRANGER”. Throughout the night, he made sure that we no longer felt like strangers as he was connecting with the audience each song he performed. Giving his all, he was very interactive with the set and he was making himself at home, in his apartment! From the couch to the band being in different parts of the “room” on stage, he made sure to touch each corner he could on the platform, even taking a moment to run on a treadmill for a song.
Giving us the full experience of The Apartment Tour, he ended the night by singing his heart out to the closing track from BACKWARD, “Y” which is a beautiful song about finding the reasoning behind loving someone or even something, and in this case for the audience, it was this show! Making sure to not overstay our welcome at The Apartment Tour, friends and concert-goers alike left the venue with smiles on their faces, feeling the effect and the elatedness of the magic that was poured out into that room. A shared experience that leaves us understanding why live music and artistry is so important and how it builds community and connection.
