LAUNDRY DAY

LAUNDRY DAY ★

As the tale of the EARWORM goes, it knows no limits… the band LAUNDRY DAY makes their way to the south with the Time of Your Life Tour.

The four piece gives it their all each night, performing songs from their new album EARWORM to hits from their earlier discography. From “R U READY?” To “Moved On”, you will be sure to leave this show with memories you will never forget.

Local Charlotte band Weekend Friend opened up the show and got everyone hype for the night. The band brought the energy needed to kickstart a LAUNDRY DAY crowd and kept the audience jumping. Showing gratitude and paying homage to LAUNDRY DAY by some members wearing some LD shirts on stage, the crowd was with them every song they performed.

After the first act was complete, Satchel Shure hit the stage with a DJ set that brought the moves and grooves out in everyone. Mixing hits like “Stateside” and “ETA” which received cheers from the audience, he was able to control the crowd and gauge what songs they enjoyed the most. Though he only had about 40 minutes on stage, there was never a lull in the music or how the crowd was moving. When his set was to come to a close, he pushed the energy even higher and ended his performance with a melody of “I Kinda Like That” and “R U Ready?” which left the crowd anticipating the moment that LAUNDRY DAY stepped on that stage.

Finally the clock struck 9pm and Bassist, Henry Pearl, walked to his position on stage with other members, Sawyer Nunes, Henry Weingartner, and Jude Lipkin following suit in their respective spaces. Kicking off the set with the EARWORM album opener, they worked their way through the set singing their heart out with songs like “We Switched Bodies” and even an unreleased song, “Shut Up I Love You”- which they have recently begun a rollout for on socials, be sure to check out their pages on streaming platforms for more details.

Before their show in Charlotte, they made a pit-stop at Buc-cee’s in which Buc-cee the Beaver made an appearance at their show (pictured above). They serenaded the beaver and it had the best seat in the house all night with a perfect view of the crowd. As the night came to a close, they finished off with “See You In Another Life” where Jude jumped into the crowd and shared an intimate moment with fans, making sure he sang, jumped, and danced with everyone who had been giving all their energy the whole night.

One thing that these boys know how to do is put on a show… having been to countless shows, I always leave a LAUNDRY DAY show feeling inspired and energized. There is something about seeing best friends having fun on stage doing the thing they love most. Through all the trials and tribulations this band has been through, they have persevered and pushed so hard to get where they are today. Aiming to be the biggest band in the world, with their dedication and grit, they have it in the bag. Making music that feels good to them and performing it with passion and heart, LAUNDRY DAY deserves everything they have worked so hard to achieve.

If you have a chance to check out LAUNDRY DAY at a show, I cannot stress how crucial it is for you to attend and see what they have going on.

Cheers to the Time of Your Life and to continuing to see LAUNDRY DAY leave it all out on the stage… In this life but also in another…. and every life…
